A Pediatric Day Nursing and Treatment Center designed to enhance the development of each child’s independence while promoting optimal outcomes through clinical interventions, therapy services and educational activities.
Services at our center are 100% Medicaid funded.
At 123 Special Care Kids PPEC, LLC we take care of children who’s medical condition requires continuous therapeutic intervention and/or skilled nursing supervision (from birth to 20 years of age). We provide Skilled Nursing services, and therapeutic services such as Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Respiratory therapy. We are open 12 hours per day and our specially equipped vans provide transport to and from the center.

How to Enroll
1. After completing the initial assessment, along with a Physician’s order, a plan of care will be developed;
2. 123 Special Care Kids PPEC will assist in coordinating transportation.
Who is Eligible
From newborn to age 20 that require some form of skilled care. This can range from medication administration to tube feeding and tracheostomy care, as well as many other medical conditions.

At our Pediatric Day Nursing and Treatment Center we provide an alternative comprehensive choice to families of children with special needs by providing personalized care for children who need medical attention and monitoring, focused on their special need and their safety.
OUR TEAM

Our team consists of dedicated, State of Florida licensed Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and licensed therapists who hold several degrees and specialties in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathologies, and early development interventions, which allows us to provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to our services.

Our transportation Service allow families to enjoy the services of our center without worries about transportation for his child. We do the pick up and delivery of your child, taking special care about safety and comfort of your beloved one.
This service is FREE for those who meet medical eligibility.
We offer round trips from home to PPEC or school to PPEC and back home with no cost to the patient.

123 Special Care Kids PPEC center is a clean and friendly environment unlike any other in the area. In our uniquely designed center, care is provided by qualified professionals with multilingual pediatric nurses and aides, working together with Physical, Speech, Occupational therapies and early interventionist specialists on site. We offer separate rooms to support different developmental levels – infants, toddlers, non-mobile and preschool-aged children.
We offer full day services as well as before and after school care. Full day services are also available to your school aged child during school breaks. Our facility offers a loving environment with expert staff.

An infant or child who requires some form of nursing intervention is a candidate for the program. A physician signs an order for PPEC services to begin. Typical needs include:

The 123 Special Care Kids PPEC is actually a nursing center – but often, parents and visitors get the impression of a day care.- Infants and children in the program must have some form of nursing intervention. Staff caring for patients in the center are registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, aides and therapists with very specific pediatric experience.
PPEC centers have been active in Florida since 1995. PPEC centers are licensed and regulated by the State of Florida.
PPEC offers so many advantages for a child with special health needs, but among the key benefits are:

No, they are not. Precautions and infection control procedures are based on protecting every patient in the center, as each is considered medically fragile. Foremost, patients who are sick or have symptoms of an infectious condition may not attend the center. Daily assessments for each patient and monitoring throughout the day maintain the overall health of our patient population.
At 123 Special Care Kids PPEC we care for infants and children up to 20 years of age.
Patients eligible for Florida Medicaid are fully covered for PPEC and therapy services. Many private insurances also cover services, depending on the plan. 123 Special Care Kids PPEC works with families for coverage through private insurance.
PPEC Services are covered by Medicaid once recommended by the child’s pediatrician through a prescription or letter of medical necessity. We also accept insurance and private pay. Our staff is happy to assist you with the enrollment process.

Each vehicle has a driver to conduct safe and efficient transport. 123 Special Care Kids PPEC provides an escort from our Transport Team on each vehicle to monitor the patients while in transit.
